Events. Opportunity to compete in some of the best sports facilities in the United States and gain additional experience and exposure. See full event listing.
a. Nationals. Many of the national AAU events are held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex located at the Walt Disney World Resort
b. AAU Junior Volleyball National Championships. The largest volleyball event in the world according to Guinness Book of World Records. The 2023 event to expected to have 5,000 teams compete at the Orange County Convention Center with select championship matches at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
c. AAU Junior Olympic Games. Since 1967, the AAU Junior Olympic Games have showcased some of the country’s best athletes. The largest youth multi-sport event in the country and host of the largest track and field meet in the country.
National Championships / End of Year Event. Opportunity for AAU teams to advance to win an National Championship with many held at world-renown ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL
Multi-sport AAU membership cards allows athletes to compete in any sport. Participate in 41 sports at the local, regional and national level with one membership* (youth only)

7. Alumni. Association with AAU’s illustrious alumni. Many of the most successful athletes in the world competed in AAU events as a youth athlete. Along with James, Johnson and Spitz, other notable athletes who participated in AAU include seven-time MLB All-Star David Wright; 2015 World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner; three-time NBA Finals MVP Shaquille O’Neal; 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III; and the celebrated professional boxer Muhammad Ali.
